Hello!
It could be really helpful if you can search tables and table columns by its notes.
For example add a bar with input for note’s text and checkboxes with options where to do searching (in table notes or column notes). And then search results will be highlighted on a diagram.
Of course I can search in a DBML code , but after that I still need to manually find table and column on a diagram and for a big project (more than 200 tables) it can be time-consuming.
Hey! This is a really good suggestion. We’re considering adding database documentation functionality so that you can search/browse around the tables et al. So stay tuned for this.
Update May 2025: We released a new patch to add the table search panel. The new feature enables users to:
Search for tables using table names, table group names, or schema names.
Show/hide tables or groups of tables in the UI. (The current filters are not yet saved. However, we plan to allow users to save filters in the near future)
Hi Nice feature, Now I manage multiple diagrams and can’t find an option to search true all diagrams I own for specifiek table names or columns. Is this feature there?
Thank you for your suggestion. Currently, we have not implemented a feature to search through all diagrams for specific table names or columns. However, we appreciate your feedback and have noted your suggestion for future development.
